My name is Colleen Malena and I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!
I attended Mercyhurst College (now Mercyhurst University) in Erie, PA and graduated in 2008 with a double major in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.
I moved to North Carolina to teach first grade at Edward Best Elementary School in August of 2008. Since then, I have taught second grade, and currently teach 5th grade.
In December of 2013, I graduated with my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University.
I love watching Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers!
I live with my husband, Mike, and our doggie daughter, Ella.
I also love to read, swim, and spend time with family and friends!
